Located just 80 miles west of Milwaukee and 142 miles northwest of Chicago, Madison boasts a wide range of art, cultural events and exciting restaurants. You’ll also find the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a host of educational events.
State Street, Madison’s famous pedestrian thoroughfare, offers a unique setting for commerce, dining, and leisure. The impressive Overture Center for the Arts is a premier location to take in a concert or edifying performance. The pedestrian walkway terminates at the Capitol Square, site of the Capitol building and Wisconsin’s state government. During the summer months, the Square is alive with activities and, every Saturday morning, the largest producer only farmer’s market in the country.
